This is, especially, useful in small to medium size projects. ConclusionĪlthough I do not discourage you from making use of CSS frameworks, you can rely on CSS alone for making your websites responsive. Firefox automatically makes the images appear as a set of blocks. I noticed that in Firefore, you do no need this block of code. This will remove the grid layout, and each image will stack up as “a block” on each other on a mobile screen. if you wish to make the images stack up on each other on a mobile screen, you may add the following media query. The image container will usually take up the. Therefore, provided that the images are all in the same dimensions, the extreme minimal code for the responsive behavior would be as follows: The only requirement is for the parent element to already have a specific width. In this above css code, the part that makes responsible behavior possible is on line no: 9 and line no: 11 This is file contains all the CSS code that is responsible for the responsive behavior of the HTML structure. I try to keep my HTML structure to as simple as I can. While you can use CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Materialize, with CSS Grid Layout you can create a simple responsive image gallery with few lines of code. As a developer, you may have been in a situation to create Image galleries/slides to showcase movies, books, etc… Most of the time these Image galleries should fit into small, medium, and large screen sizes. A similar offer is displayed when a non-premium player just had a good battle. We have recently added one-time offers-specially triggered offers with heavily discounted premium tanks and premium accounts. There is only one crew in-game that drives all vehicles, no retraining and switching between tanks. In Blitz, we don’t have barracks and depot. In Blitz, players can get x2 victory experience up to 3 times a day.Focus on battle and garage tutorials to smooth onboarding.Support for quick, single-tap registration native for mobile platforms. We’ve also made a number of simplifications to make the game friendlier to new players, especially to those with no prior World of Tanks PC experience. That’s why in Blitz we’ve implemented 4-times smaller maps and 7x7 battles up to 7 minutes each (usually 3–5 minutes). The game is tailored to the needs of a mobile player who is used to short game sessions. I think there are very few mobile games on a similar scale, quality and complexity out there.Īs far as our development approach is concerned, in World of Tanks Blitz we tried to be bold, and ready for experiments, adaptations, and mobile-specific features. There’s multiple auxiliary web services, SDKs, and integrations. And World of Tanks Blitz has comparable architectural complexity-it’s the BigWorld engine on the server-side and proprietary cross-platform engine Dava Framework on the client side. The best reward is the very few complaints about controls we received after the release, and on the contrary players often say our system is excellent.ĭoes a mobile platform like iOS or Android allow you to try and implement more features/mechanics in World of Tanks Blitz and would this be more challenging on a PC format?įrom a development standpoint, World of Tanks Blitz is rather close to its elder brother, World of Tanks PC. Eventually, we’ve got one of the best controls in the genre out there. At the same time, we wanted the controls system to be as friendly for newcomers as possible.ĭuring the development we studied what other PVP action games on mobile have to offer and verified our intermediate results using usability testing. We’ve designed controls to be flexible and adjustable-a user can change HUD layout, enable/disable some auxiliary functions (useful for experienced players-secondary fire button, look-around area), switch between right-hand and left-hand. Selecting zoom level manually on touch would have been painful. The smart-zoom system automatically determines zoom level depending on the distance to an enemy tank. The game has an auto-aiming system, which helps lead the target minimizing the number of swipes and fire on the move more effectively. We’ve done a few innovations that were supposed to “ease user’s pain” when controlling the tank on touch. It’s far more important to understand battle tactics-know the map with its lanes and choke points, coordinate with the team, take advantage of your vehicle’s strong sides, determine the weak spots of the enemy team, etc.īack to the controls. Player’s precision and reflexes are still important, but they are no longer a decisive factor. We intentionally tried to slow down the pace in game to make it comfortable to control the vehicle on a touch device. The fact that tanks in their essence are slow and sluggish vehicles did help us a lot. It’s always the case with mobile action games, especially in real time. Designing controls was the most difficult thing for us. What was the most difficult element while developing World of Tanks Blitz? How is that different from World of Tanks PC? We recently spoke with Dmitry Yudo about what it took to bring World of Tanks Blitz to Android, and now we’re looking at how the team extracted the raw elements that makes World of Tanks such a hit and crafted them into a standalone game on a mobile and tablet platform. "A lot of tanks, a lot of people and a lot of fun.Since its release in June of 2013, World of Tanks Blitz has been taking the mobile world by storm, and with its recent release on the Android platform complete with cross-platform play, we wanted to figure out what it was exactly that makes World of Tanks Blitz a unique mobile and tablet experience. "The very best multiplayer you'll find for your mobile." World of Tanks Blitz is built specifically for optimal online mobile gameplay and is currently available on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Take on short, action-packed 7-vs-7 tank battles where real and alternate histories collide-no matter where you are! Jump into a free-to-play MMO action shooter featuring a huge roster of over 300 massive tanks, stunning graphics, and intuitive touch-screen controls. Keep in mind that Dwarf Fortress will only run on one CPU at a time. While a Pentium II at 500Mhz is initially sufficient, your frame-rate will substantially decrease as your population increases, among other factors. So there's a good chance there's more performance to be had on full retail models. CPU: Dwarf Fortress is able to use as much CPU power as you can provide it with. These samples are also clocked moderately low for an architecture that is rumored to hit close to 6GHz boost frequencies. Whatever the real reason, Raptor Lake is shaping up to be an excellent gaming CPU architecture, just like Alder Lake. Of course, the performance bias towards this metric could be related to larger or faster L2 and 元 caches, but it's just a guess at this point. It is unknown at this point why Raptor Lake parts are doing so well in performance statistics where minimum frame rates are concerned, but it's not a bad place for Intels' upcoming platform. That chip gained 20% to 35% additional performance in PUBG, Naraka, Apex Legends, Monster Hunter: Rise, Far Cry 6, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. The 13600K results were similar but in a different selection of games. In PUBG, Naraka, Apex Legends, and Red Dead Redemption 2, minimum frame rates - at varying resolutions, saw anywhere between 25% to 44% extra gains in favor of the 13700K compared to the 12700KF, in both minimum and maximum FPS - but mainly in the minimums. Most of the games show minor (if any) gains between all four chips, but in the titles that do, the gains are massive for the Raptor Lake parts. The only exception is the 1440P results, where performance gains of 5% were seen.Īrguably, the most interesting results are the individual game benchmarks. The memory results between Raptor Lake and Alder Lake CPUs aren't that exciting, with most of the results being within the margin of error. Nonetheless, the minimum frame rate gains are still the highest of all three. This is especially true of the 4K minimum results.īut the 1080P results differ greatly from the 13700K results, with barely a 2% delta between the minimum, average and maximum frame rate data altogether. The Core i5-13600K results show similar behavior, with significantly higher minimum frame rate gains at 4K and 1440P compared to the older 12600K. These gains are substantially larger than the average and maximum results. However, the minimum FPS graph tells a different story, with the 1080P and 4K results showing over a 10% performance gain, at 113% and 111%, respectively. The increases averaged anywhere between +2% and +7% at 1080P, 1440P, and 4K - with the only exception being a 9.7% performance gain at 1080P max. So it's all in your perception.Looking at the DDR5 13700K graphs, the Raptor Lake chip shows very minimal performance gains compared to the 12700KF in average and maximum frame rates. When I went home and ran it on my machine here, which is like a 2.21GHz dual-core with 2gb ram, it seemed way too FAST. But I just got used to a year taking 6+ hours to play. I re-introduced myself to the 3d version of the game by playing it on work computers (we had no work at all to do, and I'm now laid off to show for it ) and it ran REALLY slow. The game runs slower.ĮDIT: The thing is that you might not even notice that it's running slow. In this game, if a dwarf would've moved 60 squares in a second at 60 FPS, he'd move 15 squares in a second at 15 FPS. It's not just that the screen refreshes slower when we say FPS, like in a first person shooter.in a first person shooter, if you have 1 FPS, and you hit "move forward," you move forward at the same speed even if your screen only refreshes once every second instead of 60 times a second. You can also do optional things to try and keep the game faster: use smaller starting areas/play areas, and limit your dwarves to something less than the 200 default (on my computer, I go about 15 FPS when I have 170 dwarves and 60 FPS at 7 dwarves). I think the author is brute-forcing a lot of things (like pathing, for example) instead of working on finding a more elegant solution that would make the game run faster. Before each dorf can move a square, 1000 water flow blocks have to be calculated by the game. You might have to mess with the keybindings a bit if the keyboard you have doesn't have a numpad some of the controls of the game use it by default. This mixture leaves the data impossible to be altered in transportation thru information systems, such as electronic mail, that were typically not 8-bit clean. The common concept is to select a set of 64 characters that is both part of a subset typical to most encodings. The specific set of characters chosen for the 64 characters needed for the base can vary among implementations. Base64 is generally used in a number of applications including electronic mail via MIME, and keeping complex information in XML. This guarantees that the data stays unchanged without modification during transfer. Types of URI charactersīase64 encoding schemes are generally used when there is a need to encode binary information that needs to be stored and transferred over media that are developed to deal with textual information. Basically, Base64 is a collection of related encoding designs which represent the binary information in ASCII format by converting it into a base64 representation. The term Base64 is coming from a certain MIME content transfer encoding. Note: if you have large Base64 string (above 1mb) use the Base64 to file tool to upload the data as a file and decode it.Example: Enter the following encoded string 'YmFzZTY0IGRlY29kZXI=', hit the decode button and you will get 'base64 decoder' as output.
The New World Center is located at 500 17th Street and is a concert hall that can accommodate up to 756 people. The parking lot can accommodate up to 300 cars, as well as stores, offices and some apartments. Today it is a destination for architects, photographers and tourists visiting Miami. Work began in 2008, and at a cost of $65 million, the new parking lot opened in 2010. The architects of Herzog & de Meuron were chosen by the building’s owner Robert Wennet to build something unique. The parking lot located at 1111 Lincoln Road is not just a place to park your car, but a true work of architecture that is meant to resemble a house of cards in its appearance. Admission is free, and you can visit Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. Founded in 1984, it is a non-profit organization that promotes contemporary art and culture through meetings, exhibitions and performances open to the public. Right on Lincoln Road, at number 924, is the Art Center South Florida. You’ll be struck by the church’s white appearance: on the outside, in fact, it’s all white and seems reminiscent of Hispanic architecture. In 1926 the church was flooded during the hurricane called the Great Miami Hurricane: several books, the piano and the organ were destroyed. In 1925, Miami Beach’s first radio station, WIOD – Wonderful Isle of Dreams – began operations and also broadcast homilies that were held in the Miami Beach Community Church. Built in 1921, it is the oldest church in Miami Beach. Miami Beach Community Church stands at 1620 Drexel Avenue. Things to Do along Lincoln Road: not only storesĬertainly the area is famous for its bustling commercial life, but the road also offers churches, art galleries and theaters to admire between visits to stores. The 17th Street Garage and the Pennsylvania Avenue Garage, for example, are among the most convenient and cost $2 per hour for the first 4 hours. The Lincoln Road Mall website lists the nearest parking lots with rates, number of spaces and addresses of each. If you are driving, there are several paid parking lots where you can leave your car safely and then stroll quietly among the stores of Lincoln Road. In either case the route is approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
Some great questions to ask the group include:.10 mins - DISCUSS and SHARE learnings from the Wheel of Life as a larger group.Give people 2-3 questions to consider, for example, "What surprises were there for you?", "How do you feel about your life as you look at your Wheel?", and "How would you like to be spending time in these areas?" (there are more questions you could ask included in the instructions on page 2 of our wheel of life coaching form).Next ask your attendees to get into groups of 3-4 and review and discuss their results.Start by asking your attendees to look at their completed wheels and say, "If this was your wheel of life, would it be a bumpy ride?".15 mins - REVIEW the Wheel in small groups. Tip: Remind your attendees to follow their gut and write down the first number they think of (not to justify their score and increase it because they SHOULD feel better!) Tip: It's good to specifically show them how to draw the line and add each score to their wheel. Explain the 8 segments on the wheel and ask attendees to consider what satisfaction would feel like for each area, then to score their current level of satisfaction out of 10 for each area.Explain that the "Wheel of Life" Exercise is a great tool to check-in with how balanced their life is, and where it might be out of balance.5 mins - COMPLETE the Wheel of Life Template. This helps with visual learners and makes people feel more involved. Tip: It's great if you have a whiteboard or flipchart where you can write down what people are saying. Ask how this perspective could help them? The key is to know whether you are moving towards or away from balance.
Opportunities and challenges of methanol being a zero emissions fuel candidate The ordering of vessels to run on zero emission methanol is a demand signal to build additional production capacity. A strengthened dialogue between the demand and supply side actors will facilitate investment growth in methanol. In the long term, renewable methanol fuel production will be more expensive and the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) will be higher than for clean ammonia. So methanol has an edge on technology and safety issues that need to be considered for ammonia. Methanol is already available and used as shipping fuel today.DAC, point source Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS)), as well as the scalability and cost of these carbon sources. Zero emission methanol is contingent on the production process, source of carbon feedstock (e.g.Different options are currently on the market to make methanol a fuel candidate on the shipping decarbonization transition pathway. The scope of this event excluded methanol produced from biomass. Options include methanol synthesis from biomass, as well as using renewable hydrogen synthesised with carbon captured from point sources (including biomass combustion processes) and capturing carbon from the atmosphere using direct air capture technologies. Synopsis: This webinar explored the scalability potential of zero carbon methanol as a shipping fuel and the different feedstock options to source the carbon needed to produce methanol. |
